This rate reflects:

• Extensive experience and local knowledge

• Limited participant acceptance

• Significant planning, screening, and decision-making

• Exposure to serious objective hazards

This is not comparable to standard guided rates.

SAFETY & RISK

Read This Carefully

Wilderness environments are inherently dangerous. Participation involves exposure to risks that cannot be eliminated, controlled, or predicted.

These risks include, but are not limited to:

• Serious injury

• Permanent disability

• Death

Weather, terrain, snowpack, water conditions, wildlife, equipment failure, and human error all contribute to risk.

You are responsible for your own decisions, actions, and physical condition.

Decision-Making Philosophy

Safety is not the absence of risk. It is the ability to recognize, evaluate, and accept risk knowingly.

All objectives are subject to change or cancellation at any time based on conditions or judgment.

Mandatory Waiver

All participants must sign a comprehensive liability waiver prior to participation.
No waiver, no participation.

The waiver includes:

• Assumption of risk

• Release of liability

• Indemnification

• Medical consent

Minors require parent or guardian signature.

Participant Responsibilities

• Provide your own gear

• Maintain adequate fitness and skill

• Disclose relevant medical conditions

• Follow legal requirements for each activity

• Accept that plans may change or end early
